An exclusive fragrance oil with notes of wood
Patchouli is a perennial herb with fragrant leaves and beautiful white flowers. The patchouli herb is a plant species from the Lamiaceae family consisting of 3000 species. Common for them all is that they are either herbs or bushes, many of which emit aromas from their leaves or stalks. Patchouli is described for the first time in 1845 by a botanist from the Philippines, and since then the herb has only become more and more popular. Today it is cultivated in large parts of Asia. Our essential oil is made by distilling the fragrant leaves of the herb. The oil is 100% natural and certified organic, and without any synthetic or nature identical additives. The patchouli oil is an essential oil with many extraordinary properties. In aromatherapy the oil is known to ease nervousness and stress-related problems. You will also find patchouli in many skin care products, since patchouli has good anti-inflammatory properties and stimulates the skin to rebuild skin cells. What we like the most about the patchouli oil is that it smells absolutely fantastic. We therefore recommend using our organic and natural patchouli oil to add a natural scent to your laundry. Patchouli is one of the most used ingredients in exclusive perfumes and is said to have been Queen Victorias favourite scent. The scent of patchouli is often characterized as mild and luxurious, with notes of wood.
How to make your laundry smell amazing with patchouli oil
For a completely natural wash, we recommend using our patchouli oil with our soapberries and wool dryer balls. If you want to use it with our soapberries, you can add 1-2 drops to the cotton bag with soapberries or mix the oil with water (1:10) and add the mix to the tray for fabric softener. You can also add a few drops to your wool dryer balls, preferably 5-10 minutes before they are put in the dryer. Be careful not to get the oil directly on the skin, as pure and concentrated essential oil may cause skin irritation.
Use essential oils to your laundry and protect yourself and nature from harmful chemicals
There are several benefits of using essential oils to fragrance your laundry. One of the best benefits for both you and the environment is that you do not have to use chemical-filled and environmentally harmful fabric softener. Fabric softener often contains harmful chemicals that are neither beneficial to your clothes, you, or our nature. Therefore, when you use essential oils to add fragrance to your laundry, you avoid exposing yourself and the environment to harmful chemicals. Our essential oils are 100% natural and certified organic. When you use essential oils as laundry fragrance oil, you also get to choose between a much bigger varieties of fragrances. Even though the bottle with your favourite scent seems quite small, it will last for a long time, as you only need a few drops to fragrance your laundry. Make your own diffuser with patchouli oil
Create relaxing aromatherapy in your bedroom or bathroom with a homemade diffuser. All you have to do is to find a beautiful bottle and buy wood sticks at your local retailer. Fill the bottle with neutral base oil and add a few drops of your favourite oil into your base oil. The more drops you add the stronger the scent becomes. Put the wood sticks in the bottle and stir well. Patchouli is a good choice to create a relaxing environment in the bedroom, as the scent has a calming effect on both body and mind. Try combining our lavender and patchouli oil in your diffuser. We recommend adding one drop of patchouli oil for every fourth drop of lavender oil (1:4).
