Organic Lemon Myrtle oil, 20 ml

Our organic Lemon Myrtle oil is a refreshing fragrance oil with the most amazing scent of freshly picked citrus fruits. The Lemon Myrtle plant, or lemon scented myrtle, is a flowering bush native to Eastern Asutralia. Here, the plant has recently become incredibly popular due to the culinary opportunities of the plant’s aromatic leaves. This is due to the fact that the Lemon Myrtle leaves contain more citrus aroma than lemons, but contains less bitterness than lemons and other citrus fruits. The oil, which is extracted from the leafs, therefore has a fantastic lemon scented aroma that is perfect for fragrancing laundry and as an aroma oil.

Our Lemon Myrtle oil is extracted through steam distillation of the plant’s aromatic leafs, and is a 100% pure essential oil. You are therefore ensured that the oil is not diluted or mixed with other oils. In addition, the oil is certified organic, which means that the plant has not been treated with any chemicals, and therefore no chance of residual chemicals. Being certified organic also means that that the oil is 100% natural, with no addition of synthetic or nature identical additives.

How to make your laundry smell amazing with Lemon Myrtle oil

For a completely natural wash, we recommend using our Lemon Myrtle oil with our soapberries (soap nuts) and wool dryer balls. If you want to use it with our soapberries, you can add 1-2 drops to the cotton bag with soapberries, or mix the oil with water (1:10) and add the mix to the tray for fabric softener. You can also add a few drops to your wool dryer balls before they are put in the dryer.

Be careful not to get the oil directly on the skin, as pure and concentrated essential oil may cause skin irritation.

Make your own diffuser with Lemon Myrtle oil

Create a relaxing aromatherapy in your bedroom or bathroom with a homemade diffuser. All you have to do is to find a beautiful bottle and buy some wood sticks at your local retailer. Fill the bottle with neutral base oil and add a few drops of your favourite oil into your base oil. The more drops you add the stronger the scent becomes. Put the wood sticks in the bottle and stir well.
